A Whirlwind Week in Windsor and Westminster!

What a busy and exciting week here at With Horses! After spending a few days in Leicester discussing future plans for establishing a community equestrian centre in partnership with a major mental health charity, Lindsey was off the Westminster to attend the Churchill Fellowship Connect and Inspire Event at the Royal Society of Medicine. She met some amazing and inspirational past and present fellows and was able to connect with pioneers, advocates and decision-makers who are all working to improve outcomes for care-experienced young people. She felt hugely privileged to be a part of such a diverse, brave and accomplished community of change makers! #churchillfellow24

Next Lindsey and one of her co-directors here at With Horses, Karen Evans, headed off to Windsor and spent a wonderful day at Alexander First School, training their staff and assessing their therapy horses. Their dedicated teaching team have a big dream to create community equestrian centre at their site in Windsor, offering trauma-informed equine assisted learning and therapeutic riding services to their pupils, 85-95% of whom are service children, their families and the wider community. With Horses CIC are committed to making that happen, so that hundreds of people every year who might never normally have the chance can experience the life-changing benefits of horses.
